Tips Jawab Kefahaman Bahasa Inggeris SPA

Soalan exam bagi memasuki perkhidmatan awam atau Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam mempunyai beberapa seksyen seperti Daya Menyelesaikan Masalah, Pengetahuan Am dan Kefahaman Bahasa Inggeris.

Bagi seksyen Kefahaman Bahasa Inggeris, terdapat pecahan iaitu Kefahaman (Comprehension) Esei Bahasa Inggeris dan Tatabahasa (Grammar).

Pecahan Tatabahasa Bahasa Inggeris

Untuk bahagian ini, terdapat 8 pecahan grammar iaitu :

1. Noun : Kata benda
2. Pronoun :Kata ganti
3. Adjective : Kata sifat
4. Verb : Kata kerja
5. Adverb : Kata keterangan
6. Preposition : Kata depan
7. Determiner : Kata penunjuk
8. Conjuction : Kata hubun

Tips Menjawab Soalan Kefahaman Bahasa Inggeris SPA

Soalan Kefahaman Esei Bahasa Inggeris

Bagi bahagian ini, terdapat petikan esei ringkas dalam bahasa Inggeris disediakan untuk anda. Terdapat 5 hingga 10 soalan kefahaman berdasarkan esei dengan pilihan jawapan seperti A,B,C,D. Sebelum anda menjawab soalan :

• Baca soalan-soalan yang disediakan dahulu untuk ketahui jawapan yang dikehendaki.
• Baca esei untuk mendapatkan jawapan.
• Fahamkan esei tersebut.
• Baca semula esei untuk pastikan anda menjawab jawapan yang betul. (Jika ada lebih masa)
• Jangan buang masa untuk membaca esei ini berkali-kali.

Mengapa anda perlu ikuti tips ini? Ini kerana anda perlu menjawab soalan-soalan yang diberikan selama 20 minit sahaja bagi 25 soalan. Jadi, anda tidak perlu membuang masa semata-mata untuk membaca esei sahaja.

Soalan Tatabahasa Bahasa Inggeris

Bagi bahagian ini, anda hanya perlu fokus pada tatabahasa sahaja seperti yang telah disenaraikan diatas tadi.

Untuk menjawab soalan ini, anda hanya perlu :

• Membuat persediaan dengan membuat latih tubi supaya anda boleh ingat semula grammar Bahasa Inggeris yang digunakan sejak anda darjah 1 sehinggalah tingkatan 5.
• Teruskan kepada soalan seterusnya sekiranya anda tidak pasti dengan jawapan bagi soalan tersebut.
• Baca dan sesuaikan soalan dengan jawapan.
• Kembali semula pada soalan sebelumnya jika anda rasa perlu membuat pembetulan.

Berikut adalah contoh soalan yang boleh dijadikan rujukan :

Read the passage below carefully. Then, answer the questions that follow.

Malay food derives its flavor from the use of spices and ingredients such as lemon grass, shallots, ginger, coriander, tamarind and many others. Another ingredient commonly found in Malay cooking is santan ( coconut milk). The milk is squeezed from the flesh of grated coconut.

The staple food of Malays is rice, boiled to a white fluffy texture and usually served with dishes of meat (chicken or beef), fish and vegetables. Meat and fish are usually fried or prepared as a sambal (chilly paste) or curry dish. As far as Muslims are concerned, the meat used in their cooking must be ‘halal’ (slaughtered according to the Islamic rites).

Malay food is prepared and enjoyed by all races. A staple breakfast favourite is nasi lemak, a simple but satisfying meal of rice cooked in coconut milk with fragrance pandan leaves and accompanied by side dishes such as sambal ikan bilis, boiled egg, peanuts, sliced cucumber, prawns and fried fish.

The traditional Malay way of eating is by using the right hand. The use of the left hand is considered bad manners. However, those who are comfortable using the fork and spoon may do so if they want to. Using the right hand also applies to giving or receiving things.

In eating stalls or homes where the hand is used to eat, guests will be provided with a small pot of water to wash their hands before and after the meal. Remember, this water is not for drinking!
